On August 3, the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra returned once again to Szent István Park, following the great success of last year’s performance, with another free outdoor concert. The event was organized by the Municipality of the 13th District. Seating filled up quickly; some secured their spots well in advance, while others were pleasantly surprised by the classical melodies echoing through the park during their Sunday evening stroll. Many attendees arrived by bicycle or brought picnic blankets, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere as the standing audience surrounded both the orchestra and seated listeners. The beautiful sunset and the event taking place in the heart of the city created a truly unforgettable ambiance.
The program featured works by Vivaldi, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, Grieg, Weiner, and Liszt, which were received with great enthusiasm by the audience. Despite the cooler weather, the packed venue was filled with smiling faces, dancing feet, and children attempting to conduct along—an authentic community musical experience.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Municipality of the 13th District for once again granting our orchestra a prominent place in the district’s cultural life. These positive experiences and energies inspire us and will be carried forward to our major musical events in August at KaposFest and the Zemplén Festival.
We look forward to meeting our Budapest audience again on September 6 at the Pozsonyi Picnic, where we will present a variety of musical programs, ticket discounts, and many surprises.
