Pachelbel: Canon
Within the serene clarity of a Bauhaus sacred space, the programme unfolds as a harmonious whole. Arvo Pärt’s meditative, contemplative works enter into dialogue with Vivaldi’s richly expressive concertos, their contrasting musical worlds illuminating one another. Excerpts from works by Bach then add further depth and richness to this carefully shaped musical architecture. Finally, Pachelbel’s celebrated Canon brings the concert to a close with a warm and festive sense of togetherness.
The concert is performed without an interval and lasts approximately 60 minutes.
Seating is unreserved and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
